"When the Upright Become Uptight"

1.  When we see people behaving unjustly, it’s normal for us to get upset or grieve the results when it seemingly works out for them. Where we go wrong sometimes is when we fret or burn passionately. It reveals a distrust in God and can even lead to us doing unjust things ourselves. How did you respond the last time you witnessed someone seemingly get away with being unjust? What could you do differently if you had the chance?

2.  Regardless of how things may look, we know that we serve a just God, and He will eventually cut down those who behave wickedly. God doesn’t work on our timelines, so it may not always be as soon as we hope, but we know it will come in due time. That applies to us as well. Just because we weren't immediately punished doesn't mean we were right. God is just but also merciful and wants us to repent. Take time this week to pray about what thoughts or actions God may be waiting for you to repent.

3.  As God’s earthly representatives, it’s our responsibility to learn as much about Him so we can be best equipped to represent Him well. Sometimes, it means displaying our trust in Him through challenging times by continuing to worship with delight. Other times, it can be showing love to people who have done us wrong (this doesn’t mean you can’t hold them accountable). What is one way you represent God well when times are hard? How could you grow as a representative of the one true King?
