"Walking in the Spirit"

  1. The Lord is looking to impart wisdom to us, but we need to walk in the Spirit to hear Him. If we’re willing to get quiet and listen, He’s more than happy to share insights with us. What time of day is easiest for you to get still and listen to His “still small voice?” What makes that time work for you? Take time this week to get still and journal what you hear in that silence. See what God has in store for you.

  2. There’s nothing but death and destruction that awaits us when we walk in the flesh. When we walk in the Spirit, there’s life and liberty. God isn’t impressed by how many degrees we have, how many books we’ve read, or any other fleshly measure of importance. He cares about us having a heart that's softened to Him, one that's willing to receive what He has to say. What habits can you develop to ensure your heart remains open to Him?

  3. We often want to hear from God on specific issues going on in our lives. But we need to first understand the Words He has already given us to be able to receive what He has to say about specific situations. He has already shared so much wisdom with us, but if we don’t show that we respect the Words He has shared through the Bible, He’s not obligated to say anything more. What is a situation you’re waiting to hear from God on? What scripture do you think could be used to stand on as you wait to get further guidance from the Holy Spirit?
