God wants to redesign us to lead us down the path He’s set aside for us. We can be inflexible because of who we’ve been or what we’ve been doing, wanting to hold on to the past. What do you feel like God is calling you into, or even something that you hope happens? What is one thing (possession, relationship, behavior, etc.) you may need to forget if you’re going to step into that calling or desire?
The new design God has will allow us to go places that the old one couldn’t. God will let us make our own choices, but we must be open-minded to fully embrace what He wants to do for and through us. The willingness to flex will lead to blessings down the line for us. Do you have a hard time embracing changes in your life? If so, what is it that gives you pause about changes? If not, how have you seen that openness pay off for you?
Sometimes, because we cling so hard to the past, God has to shut doors to make sure we can’t turn back around again.
